About Foresight

In this research project, an approach for blood glucose prediction using a novel ML algorithm will be implemented. This approach was developed by Li et. al. [Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks for Glucose Prediction] and uses a novel combination of ML algorithms to predict blood glucose levels in a time window of 30 and 60 minutes based on individual blood glucose values.

We will access and store the following data: CGM data, insulin delivery (including basalrate), carbohydrate intakes. The data will be managed privately and is only processed and read by myself and a small selection of university employees. In case a user will quit the activity we will delete the data on request. For de-identifying we will apply the HIPAA's safe harbor guidelines. If you want to read more about this activity or the goals and motivation please visit the project's website.
