About me

I am a Health Outcomes Scientist and I measure healthcare performance. My interests resides at the intersection of health outcomes, patient reported outcomes, and program evaluation. I use mixed methods and my extensive IT Project Management experience to move practical ideas into practice. Current projects:

● Medication Safety: Validating a face-to-face instrument to measure patient functional medication literacy. Funded project.

● Clinical Performance: My 2011 PhD dissertation and 2013 AACP New Investigator Award employed mixed methods to assess clinical performance with medications. Funded projects.

● Patient Reported Outcomes: Randomized controlled clinical trial to assess topically administered pharmacologic adjuncts (esketamine, brimonidine), in combination with opioids, for their efficacy in suppressing pain caused by peripheral neuropathies. Co-Investigator (measuring patient reported outcomes) NIH R01 application submitted.
